Thanks everyone for the faith formation, fellowship, and service accomplished through the 2 service projects (HomeWorks mission support and Agape Crisis Pregnancy Center drive), 3 faith formation lessons (“moral decision making,” “conversion stories,” and Ignatian spirituality), and numerous food and fellowship events during the first half of 2009!

Young Adult Ministry in Fayetteville is truly a team effort; we have a small number of core volunteers who lead certain events or simply help publicize them and recruit young adults from their parishes/locations. So far for 2009-10, we have young adults facilitating three areas: monthly Spirits and Wisdom Dinners (fellowship/faith formation), bi-monthly Scripture Study, and a weekly Mother’s of Preschoolers group. If you are passionate about what Young Adult Ministry should be or simply have an idea for an event you’d like to facilitate (i.e. “I’d love to have a small group to go to First Saturday Mass with and pray morning prayer afterward,” or “I saw this shelter and want to organize a one-time service project,” or “I used to go to charismatic prayer in my old diocese and want to organize it in Fayetteville,” and beyond), please contact us. We are happy to put your events on the website, into e-mails, and out to parish points of contact to spread the word. Just e-mail FayettevilleYAM@gmail.com with your ideas.
